...but it is running out! What an amazing start to our Adopt-a-Vet Project! The donations have been coming in daily and so many of you have contributed--THANK YOU. There's still time to show your love for a Vet living at Homes for Veterans at Plaza Ortiz in El Monte, CA (homeless.lacounty.gov) in transitional housing (a bridge between homelessness and a long term residence). Heroes 1st has adopted 25 Vets and will provide gift bags filled with goodies and 2 Gift Cards each ($25 Walmart/Target and a $25 Restaurant card). On December 21 we will serve a farm to table lunch expertly prepared by Chef Gabe, provided by Kitchen Gourmet (kitchengourmet.org) and presents your gifts.
