I am so pleased to announce that I’ve joined with an amazing group of talented friends to form Heroes 1st Incorporated, a For Purpose Organization (nonprofit), that will service the military community with an acute focus on veterans services. Our organization will provide a broad range of services including, but not limited to, residential (immediate and long-term solutions), mental health and wellness counseling, legal and human resource referrals, disability benefits, health screenings, and assistance to families who have children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are set to open on March 4, 2022 (the only date with a command, March Forth). We have secured a 1,324 square foot space nestled in the heart of Long Beach, just steps away from Veterans Park. We will be a short distance from the VA Hospital in Long Beach and expect to serve clients from Los Angeles and Orange counties. Our board of directors has contributed a significant sum of money and provided countless hours to lay the foundation for the organization, but we can’t do it alone.
