Heroes 1st has a variety of reentry experience aimed at assisting individuals transitioning back into society after incarceration, with a focus on reducing recidivism. These programs address crucial needs such as finding stable housing and securing employment, both major obstacles for those with criminal records. Many programs are flexible, allowing individuals to serve the end of their sentences in community-based settings that offer services like counseling, substance abuse treatment, educational and vocational training, and help with reconnecting with family and accessing community resources. Some programs are also partnered with academic institutions to provide higher education opportunities and skills-based training.

Our experience includes, but is not limited to, programs based on restorative justice principles, focusing on building empathy and accountability. Overall, these programs aim to equip formerly incarcerated individuals with the skills, resources, and support necessary to reintegrate successfully into their communities, ultimately enhancing public safety by lowering recidivism rates.
