Dr. Lisa Baughman has been in the healthcare industry for more than 30 years. Her commitment to people and education has served as a chronicle throughout her career.  Her experience ranges from Women’s Health, Adult Medicine, and Pediatric Primary Care.  Lisa has a Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice from California State University Fullerton. She is a California Board Certified Register Nurse and Public Health Nurse, and Nationally Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

 

As the Director of Medical Services, she leads the evaluation and referral of our veterans as needed to a medical facility designed to meet their needs.  Each veteran that come through the doors of Heroes 1st is required to complete a comprehensive history and physical questionnaire, which is reviewed and assessed by our medical services department.  

 

Lisa believes patient advocacy is paramount for quality patient centered care. As the spouse of a U.S. veteran, she aligns with the need to dismantle healthcare disparities and disproportionality for vulnerable, marginalized and underserved people and communities which includes veterans and their families. She enjoys donating her time and expertise to international medical missions.
